Character and Usage
H-610 is a kind of epoxy adhesive consist of two bottles’ glue, it has the character of low
creep performance, shorter lag time, good repeatability, wider temperature range, low viscosity.
What’s more, it has shorter pasting cycle period, easy to use. We recommend you use it in
high precision load cells.
Collocation Method and Storage
The H-610 we make usually made of two components, A and B. We take them out of
fridge 2 hours before collocation, and mix A and B in proportion of A:B=1:2, after the glue
temperature raise to the room temp., we pour A into B and shake it for about 2-5 min.for them
to intensively mixed, with bottle cap tightly screw up. After 24 hours when the glue turns light
yellow or yellowish orange, the adhesive is done. The validity period of both A and B is 12
months under the temp. of 4℃. Please note, after the mixing process, the adhesive only valid
in 10 days under the temp. of 4℃. So, just mix the amount of adhesive that you need. Do not
mix them all in one time if not necessary.
Usage
1,Sandblast and polish the bonding site of the load cell, and then clean the site with acetone
or butanone.
2, Clean all the tool, Polytetrafluoroethylene sheet and strain gauge with Ethanol absoluter.
3, Then spread a thin layer of H-610 adhesive on the bonding site, after airing for a while, we
use the tweezers to pick up the strain gauge and paste it on the position that is previously
marked, then cover the Polytetrafluoroethylene sheet, roll press the strain gauge over the
sheet with finger along the axes direction, press out the protruding adhesive and air bubble
4, Solidify: the first solidify, increase pressure to 0.1-0.3Mpa, raise the temp. to 135 ℃ and
keep for 2 hours before it turn to room temp. Second solidify, raise the temp. to 165℃ after
pressure decreasing and keep it for 2 hours before turning to room temp.
5, The ideal relative humidity for H-610 is no more than 65%.
The Basic Do's and Don'ts
1, The A and B glue should take out of the refrigerator 1-2 hours beforehand, it can only be
used after the glue temp. stays the same as the room temp.
2, We should pour A and B glue in right proportion of A:B=1:2 to make sure they are
thoroughly mixed to ensure the uniformity.
3, While in usage, the adhesive should be kept away from any heat producer (for example,
the filament lamp) to avoid the fast volatilization.
4, We should tighten the bottle cap after each time, to avoid volatilization.
5, All the glue pasting tools should be thoroughly cleaned with acetone, lest any impurity to
contaminate the adhesive.
6, When there is only little left, the adhesive may turn thicker because of the volatilization or
the impurity, say dust, while in usage. At this time, the adhesive is no longer suitable for high
precision strain gauges, but it can be used in compensation strain gauge or binding post
pasting which does not have a high precision requirement.
