A load cell measures mechanical force, mainly the weight of objects. Today, almost all electronic weighing scales use load cells for the measurement of weight. They are widely used because of the accuracy with which they can measure the weight. When the appropriate mode is chosen, the pads react to the amount of force or weight applied to each of them. The light scale at the front of the pads responds dynamically to change in force or weight applied by the user. The feedback clarifies and aids understanding of how changes in motor actions or body posture affect the force or weight applied to the pads.
